Matt Truong Endorses Mike Schoelwer for RPV Chair
Dear Delegates to the RPV State Convention,
First, I am extremely pleased to announce that Matt Truong has endorsed me for the position of Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia (RPV). His endorsement below, speaks to the American Dream, and exactly what this great county is all about. Thanks Matt.
Second, although the RPV Chairman race has gotten ugly, the National Committee Woman race has not, and we should have been clearer in our past newsletter. Patti Lyman and Jean Gannon are running professional, issue-based campaigns.
Third, neither I, nor anyone working for me, has sent any text messages in regards to the RPV Chair Campaign. Our Campaign has a very healthy relationship with Rich Anderson’s Campaign, and we intend to keep it that way. If anyone can identify who is behind the text messages, please notify me at the email address at the bottom of this newsletter.
Chairman, Lancaster County Republican Party
Candidate, Chairman of the RPV
As (some of ) you know, I came to the U.S. as a desperate, 12-year-old immigrant in 1980. After my family and I arrived, we worked hard, I earned several college degrees, and I eventually made my way in the world of business and technology to the success I am today. My experience has been the quintessential American dream.
For those sorts of success stories to continue, the RPV must succeed. Unfortunately, the RPV has been drifting for the past few years. The result of that drift is that the RPV is losing and Democrats now control all levers of government in our great state of Virginia. We need a new Chairman, one who will restore the RPV to its former effectiveness and help us start winning elections again. We need a Chairman who has strategic vision, leadership experience, managerial skills, and an unrelenting willingness to stand up in public to make our case. Even though I personally like other candidates, I have spent hours reviewing relevant data such as websites, platforms, online forums, etc… I believe the only candidate in the RPV Chair race that has all of those attributes is Mike Schoelwer. Therefore, I am endorsing Mike Schoelwer for the Chairman of the RPV. I’m asking all Delegates to vote on August 15th for Mike!
Mike has more than just senior managerial experience. He has combat-tested leadership and a strategic vision honed by using it in war zones. Mike has had to develop strategies and implement plans to confront serious, adaptive adversaries of the United States who would harm Americans if given the chance. Mike did this for more than 3 straight years.
It is also clear that we need to expand our membership base. In most of Virginia that means reaching out to ethnic and minority communities that, for reasons unknown, the RPV has so far been hesitant to engage. Mike has lived in many parts of the world, including Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America for years. He is very comfortable in other cultures, speaks several languages, and is fluent in Spanish. Mike understands that we will find thousands of conservative voters in these communities if only we invite them in. He is committed to making that happen.
I could go on about Mike, but suffice it to say that I am voting for him and I urge you to do the same. Virginia is in desperate times right now. Virginia needs the RPV right now, and the RPV needs a strong, forward-thinking Chairman. I am convinced that Mike is that person and will be the Chairman who leads the RPV back to winning… and relevance.
